How readers can report errors, and how the Journal corrects them.
Last updated
Reporting an error
Readers may report a possible error by writing to contact@dailyupdatesjournal.com. Please include the headline or link of the article, the statement you believe is inaccurate and, where possible, a source supporting the correction.
How reports are reviewed
Reports of potential errors are reviewed against the reporting and sources behind the article. We may contact the reader for additional information. Not every report will result in a change.
How corrections appear
Material errors should be corrected transparently. Depending on the nature of the change, we use one of the following:
Correction
Used when an article contained a factual error. A note at the end of the article states what was wrong and what has been corrected.
Update
Used when new information is added or circumstances have changed. The article shows the date of the update.
Clarification
Used when an article was accurate but could have been misunderstood. A note explains what has been clarified.
What this policy covers
This policy applies to editorial content published on the site, including headlines, captions and summaries. Minor changes to spelling, grammar or formatting that do not affect meaning may be made without a note.
